Upgrading your DNM   On this Page :   Preamp    Power Amp    Trade In Scheme   We do not feel that an expensive amplifier bought one, two or even ten years ago should be rendered obsolete by the latest model. Therefore, all DNM products are designed to be as upgradeable as possible.

The purchaser of any 3D preamplifier or PA3 power amplifier can be confident that, as we continue to develop the DNM range, our products can be cost-effectively modified or traded-in to keep pace with technology. The inter-range conversions available for the current series of DNM products are outstanding in their flexibility and value for money. Upgrading Preamplifiers The DNM 3D preamplifier is available in three models - Primus, Twin and Six. As a result of its modular construction, moving up the product range is simple and cost-effective.  For example, the 3D Primus to 3D Twin conversion consists of a new full-size acrylic cased Twin power supply to replace the original Primus unit and a new set of 'Twin specified' plug-in boards for the pre-amplifier unit. The additional cost of buying a 3D Twin, using the conversion scheme rather than purchasing from new, is less than 5%. The 3D Twin to 3D Six conversion consists of a new set of Six power supply plug-in pcbs, a complete new set of 'Six specified' plug-in boards and a new PS distribution board for the pre-amplifier unit. The additional cost of buying a 3D Six, using the conversion scheme rather than purchasing from new, is less than 5%. Power Amplifiers The conversion from the DNM PA3 to the DNM PA3S works in the same cost-effective way, allowing customers to upgrade to the ultimate DNM power amplifier, again with depreciation of less than 5%. Such a scheme brings confidence to the process of system-building by eliminating the massive depreciation usually suffered by customers upgrading in the 'high-end' hi-fi market. Trade In Scheme It is impossible to predict new developments in audio electronics so ultimately it becomes more practical to replace older DNM products than to update them. For existing owners of DNM's we strive to keep the cost of updating as low as possible with the DNM trade-in scheme - and for the older DNM products, DNM Design can always repair and sometimes part exchange for more modern equivalents.
